This Privacy Policy explains how CaterReady (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and application (together, the “Service”).

• Account data — name, email, password (hashed), and organisation details you provide.
• Business data — clients, events, menus, quotes, invoices, checklists, staff assignments, and related content you enter into the Service.
• Share-link visitors — when someone opens a shared quote or purchase list, we may process limited technical data (such as IP address and browser type) needed to serve and secure the link.
• Usage & device data — logs, approximate location from IP, and diagnostic information to keep the Service reliable and secure.
• Communications — waitlist signups, support emails, and other messages you send us.

3. How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Authenticate users and protect accounts
• Send transactional emails (verification, password reset, invites)
• Respond to support and waitlist requests
• Monitor abuse, security incidents, and service health
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share information with infrastructure providers that help us run the Service (for example hosting, email delivery, and databases), under contracts that require them to protect the data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the Service.

5. Retention

We keep account and business data while your organisation uses the Service, and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. You can request deletion — see Delete Account.

We use industry-standard measures such as encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Your rights

8. Children

The Service is for business use and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
